Astrophotography Package - Explore Scientific ED102 FCD100 and QHY8-Pro

I recently upgraded to a QHY16200a camera which has an APS-H size sensor and as such I am now needing to get a larger scope. Hence, the current setup needs to go in order to fund the new purchase. I'm sad to see it go, I really do love the scope but it no longer suits my needs. Inspections welcome!

For sale is:

Explore Scientific ED102 FCD100 Triplet Apochromatic Refractor in Carbon Fiber
- Note: this is the FCD100 Carbon Fiber version, not the standard version.

Specs:
Focal Length: 714mm
Focal Ratio: f/7
Weight: 5.44kg

The scope has always been kept stored in a Pelican case and doesn’t have a scratch on it. It’s been a fantastic scope and I’m sad to see it go. It was purchased brand new about 8 months ago, I am the only user/owner.

Comes with:
- OTA
- Explore Scientific 8x50 Finderscope with brackets
- Custom made adapter from Meade style finder bracket to Dovetail (so you can fit any regular finder/guider if you wish), ordered from Scope Stuff.
- Explore Scientific star diagonal
- I’ll also include your choice of either the Astrotech 2” Field Flattener (goes from M48 on scope end to M42 on camera end), OR a TS-Optics 2” Flattener (m48 to m48).

Accessories included:
1 x Canon T-Ring
1 x Lightbox – This was ordered from a user on IIS, includes a dimmer. Makes taking flats a breeze!

NOTE: The Skywatcher Evoguide 50ED in the pics is NOT included – I will be keeping that for my next setup.

QHY8-Pro CCD Camera: SOLD
I bought this from an IIS user last year, apart from a slight scratch on the protective glass where the previous user threaded on to their scope a bit hard it has no other issues. Note this scratch is not in-front of the sensor at all and as such does not impact on imaging. The cooling works just fine, have had no problems controlling it through APT.

Specs:
Sensor: Sony ICX453AQ
Effective pixel count: 6.1 Megapixels
Pixel size: 7.8 µm x 7.8 µm
Peak quantum efficiency: 60% @ Green, 50% @ Red, Blue and H-alpha
Full well capacity: 25 ke-
Microlenses on chip: Yes
Total pixel array size: 3110[H] x 2030[V]
Effective pixel array size: 3032[H] x 2016[V]
Chip size: 25.1 mm x 17.6 mm
Effective area: 23.4 mm x 15.6 mm (approx.)
Typical size: APS-C

Comes with:
- QHY8-Pro CCD Camera
- Power supply
- Tilt adjuster
- Threaded heater dew ring

Optional Extras:
1 x Pelican Air 1745 Case (as pictured) $400

1 x IDAS LPS P2 Light pollution filter $150

1x Skywatcher EQ6-R Pro Mount $2100
The mount is in perfect condition, it’s one of the new models with a USB port mounted straight on the side. I am very happy with it and can use it for the new setup if needs be, hence the price. Only selling as I would like to get an AZ-EQ6 for visual stuff.

Any questions or for more pics please feel free to ask. Cheers
