Is it just me or has the air qulity improved recently with this semi-lockdown?

Much easier navigating the roads at the moment and I have noticed the sky transparency is actually much better, one good thing out of this catastrophe is more time for astronomy weather permitting.

It certainly makes sense that the air quality would be better and I agree it is moderately. Interestingly enough those in Venice have commented on how clean the canals now appear- probably as the sediment isn't being stirred up to the point the the bottoms of the canals can be very clearly seen.

Best

That report was confirmed as fake news, same as the claim of crocodiles showing up in the Venice canals.

Very noticeable here in western sydney. Feels and smells like in the 90s before urban developments and the M7. Loving it.

Completely agree.
I also wonder if there will be a decrease in light pollution since a lot of places will no longer be open at night.

Well maybe you guys should come here for a few days, we are half a kilometer off the Hume Highway half way between Sydney and Melbourne.

I counted for a normal day, any day for that matter and it is estimated that at 5-6 per minute constantly there is about 7000-8000 each day that pass our front gate.

It goes on 24 hours a day and mainly at night, one would have to wonder where they are all going.

Sounds like a shady toilet roll operation across borders.
