3mx5m R.O.R

Hello everyone,

A long time dream and finally made it
Not a masterpiece, but this is what I managed to build with the budget, time and health. 2 years ago started with the pier base... then a bloody hospital visit with complications interrupted progress... fast frwrd still alive and winging

It is a 3mx5m roll off using gate roller and tracks.

Still lots of things to fix, adjust...

Mik

Mik,
Very nice. Looks great and well finished.
How far is it from the house? Just thinking about remote operation.....better than sitting outside with the mozzies for a couple of hours.
I found fitting a double “seal” board at the ends of the roof helped to stop any overtravel and minimize wind and rain ingress.
Well done!

Cheers Ken,
Only a few meters from the house and the man-cave
But I do like sitting there monitoring the gear and contemplating the universe

Here is the first pic... of course it's Orion de Great season
The processing skills of mine is wayyy below of this blog's standard...so apologise
... working on it

Polar aligned with PHD, calibrated scope and mount then slew to M42... only 15min/ch. ED80-0.85x-8300mono Moravian with Baader RGB 36mm filters.
Then slewed to Rossetta to get some Ha ... 5min OK , however 20min had a elongated stars. I think will use OAG next time... not good with guide scope 20min subs.
