Horrible Cricket by Australia

OMG Aust all out for 60, absolutely disgraceful. Seriously big problems with them at present in English conditions.

Theres a comment floating round one of those sites saying of 111 balls faced only 8 really had to be played at. Blaming the girls on tour is a little rich
(in fact give them a bat next time) just a woefully poor performance plain and simple .

I think the Australian batsmen should donate their $10K match payments to charity ..........
Perhaps some should be honest enough to say "I am out of form, in the interest of the team, give someone else a go"

cricket

Loved every second!!

Last time Stuart Broad had figures like that was bowling in the under 11's match at his old school, so he said on the radio!

Never take your foot off the snake though, I'm betting Aus will come back fighting. Unfortunately.

Makes up for the poor NZ performance in the World cup finals I paid good money for.

I liked the comment by someone that the whole innings score ( ball by ball ) was so short, it would fit into a tweet

Oh I do like cricket, however, when the playing surface is prepared with the intention of flattering the strengths of one side and exposing the weaknesses of the other then the result is by definition contrived.

Imagine if the Red Bull F1 team were able to select the tracks for the entire race calender and they decided that there would be 20 races at circuits like Monaco (and nowhere else)

That is not to take anything away from the English cricket team, they clearly have stepped up to the challenge and played to their full potential.
On the other hand, it is difficult to imagine how the Australian players could become so spectacularly inept even accounting for the pitch. It is the equivalent of a cycling team forgetting how to ride a bike.

Wondered why there was NOTHING in the media.....
Support for the team only when they are winning and they are then invincible gods.
Wonder who sets the worst example, the team or the media.

Captain Clark was wondering whether to bat or bowl on the first day. The team got to do both. Heh heh.

Oh, yes! I saw a sign advertising Australian cricket bats for sale. "Hardly used." Was the sales promotion.

Well the pitch may have been 'prepared' to suit the English bowlers, but that does not excuse the ill discipline of the Australian batsmen with the worst culprit being the captain, who in his wisdom, decided to 'take them on' ! Worst dismissal of the innings.

What was he thinking ? He should have manned up, stonewalled, and only played at anything that threatened his stumps.

Michael Clarke, whether batting or fielding, looks like he is in a back brace, with very little fluidity in his movements. The bloke is just not 'right'.

Time to step down and hand over the tiller Skipper.

Having said all that, the English bowling attack was spot on for line and length, and was aided by our blokes predisposition to attack every ball.

Maybe it's time professional sport started paying players on their results and not give them fat contracts that don't take into account whether they are performing or not.

Anyway congratulations to the Poms, they bowled well and caught all their catches. Well done.
