M5

From Wiki "Spanning 165 light-years in diameter, M5 is one of the largest known globular clusters... At 13 billion years old, M5 is also one of the eldest globular clusters in the Milky Way Galaxy. Its distance is about 24,500 light-years from Earth, and it contains more than 100,000 stars, as many as 500,000 according to some estimates."

GSO 10" F4 Newtonian, 404 x 30 seconds, full spectrum Canon 1100D, HEQ5 Pro unguided.

Great shot again Kevin. Love the blue and yellow stars you've captured, a very handsome cluster! Why so few subs this time?

Nice shot Kevin. I think the Cyan stars could be toned down a bit though.

Nice Kevin. I think globs are underrated. To get a good image you need good seeing and good acquisition skills and you’ve got that.

Thanks Steve! Yeah they could be a bit oversaturated, especially in the middle.

I think short subs help freeze better seeing Geoff. I did delete a lot of fuzzy subs. I've been going through these by hand, which is a chore with so many subs, but it all helps.
