Green sky/Scope???

Help!
Had CMOS, filter and power board replaced in my Canon 5D
Took day images, looked ok. Took astro images soon after, came out GREEN!
Took camera back to repair shop. Took astro images again they came out green. Took the 5D to Canon, the technician down loaded the green images but saw no green colour, thought the screen might be an early example not up to the job.
Last night I used my Canon 300D on NGC 253, THEY CAME OUT GREEN
scream, scream #$!@^&.
Has "GREEN" taken over the Universe?
No 1 image (5D) 1 min.exp No 2 (5D) 2 min. No three (300D) 15 min.exposure.
Should I not have painted the scope mirror green?
What do you think?

Hi Ken

Looks like a bad case of light pollution. If you download the "deepsky colours HLVG plugin for PS it eliminates it with a mouse click. I ran your third image through it and posted below. Would work a whole lot better on the full size image.

Green Sky

Thanks Mark.

To-night I tested the two cameras this time with a lens attached, at home in Castle Hill, an outer suburb of Sydney, mounted on a tripod and I took 15 minutes exposures. no sign of any green colour.

The green images were taken at 11 pm at Kenthurst, in rural surroundings outside Sydney. sky brightness at time of taking the images were, believe it or not, 22, amazing. usually around 20 . Other images were taken at Maroota, a very dark country site. So one would think that there would not be much light pollution. I have often taken images at Kenthurst before.
However, there being no reasonable explanation for the green colour on those nights I am looking forward to another session at those two sites in the near future in order to do some more testing. I shall get hold of the software that you suggested Mark.
regards
Ken

That's great Mark.
The HLVG plug-in works in PS 7 of mine.
Thanks a lot Mark

No worries Ken but you probably need to thank Multiweb (Marc the frogginator) as he put me on to it.

Cheers
