Such good videos on Youtube

I thought this forum needed a place to post excellent Astronomy videos.

I watched this video last night.

It actually shows many of the highly technical parts of the Subaru Telescope:
actuators, corrector lenses, cameras etc.

cheers
Allan

Thanks Allan most interesting.
I really think youtube is a wonderful "thing" if you are happy to explore its content.
It is wonderful how you can become somewhat expert at something after watching content posted by folk who have distilled a life time of experience into a short video.....Moonshine making for example☺.

Good to see that widefield optical telescopes are still being developed and making new discoveries. Love the Japanese technology applied to old school problems , like their tuning fork pressure sensors and computerised actuators for keeping the mirror in shape. Great stuff.

Yes their tuning fork pressure sensors were something I'd never seen before.
