Astrograph and Observatory for sale

This can be either portable or mounted in the Sirius 2.3M Observatory. It uses the Officina Stellare F(3) RH200 with the SBIG 11,000M, and RGB + Ha and OIII filters. It is mounted on an Vixen SXP Mount with the Starbook controller, on a steel pier in the observatory. For travelling, the assembly mounts on a Vixen tripod. Carry cases for the components are included.

The F(3) system enables the capture of very faint nebulosity and its colours as well, not normally obtainable in other setups. The mount was selected as the easiest to control with its intuitive screen. It is smooth and quiet, portable, and tracks accurately with the RH200. It all in new condition, and the observatory, apart from some dulling on its surface, is quite undamaged and operating as when new.The computer can be added if desired.

The only reason for sale is that being in my 80ís, sitting outdoors in the cold is no longer attractive, and age is catching up. The original cost for the setup was some $34,000, and it seems reasonable to ask for half this value.

Selling it in bits is a problem. The observatory can be sold separately but only after the rest has been sold. However clubs or friends could group together to obtain their requirements.
