Jupiter & Saturn Feb 5th

Imaged Jup this morning, have nice detail in 685nm IR. Have attached animations of 685nm IR, R & RGB data.

Followed up with Saturn prior to dawn and have reasonable IR data, the Nth polar hex is well defined and Tethys is below the planet.

Regards
Trevor

Trevor.

Just goes to show what extra information is to be gleaned from IR; "The Hex" etc, that would otherwise be totally missed!!

Fantastic!

Thanks Phil, John & Maurice, we have so much to look forward to with Saturn, it will just about double its current alt by opposition. This was pretty ordinary Saturn data, the B channel was horrendous but I have high expectations for what this camera will deliver with Saturn at high alt in good seeing.
