I do not think it support Bluetooth. I was consider this sometime ago and very little support on generic products. I believe you have to purchase specialised SkiFy products to get the telescope control to work.

Details on scope setup here - http://www.southernstars.com/support...pe_setup.shtml

On the other hand I saw recently someone created and app for WiFi to ASCOM. Someone else could shed some light on this?

Hi Alex

It will work with Bluetooth. The android version is designed for Bluetooth. I know someone using it that way and he reports it working well. Your Bluetooth adapter may need to be set to 9600 baud using hyper terminal. That seemed to be the issue with the system I am referring to. Also not all Bluetooth serial adapters will work. I believe the ones that are hardware based work best.

The southern stars website has info on suitable serial Bluetooth adapters here:

PM me if you would like me to put you in touch with my friend who got this system going.

Also there is a very useful yahoo group for sky safari. The developers respond regularly and may be able to help.

Rod.

Hi Alex

I have sent you a PM with Geoff's contact details. He can advise you about how to get and use hyperterminal.

Regards,

Rod.

Thanks for the info. I have an Android tablet although I already use a Bluetooth control via EQMOD but it is interesting to know.

I would still need to know if it is accurate enough to operate guiding and subsequently imaging. This is more reading but so far quite happy with my netbook and EQMOD.
