Young Red Wattlebird in Warratah

A wattlebird enjoying the flowers of our Warratah - again shot through a bedroom window allowing me to get close.

Great shots. Very clear fluffy young bird and great flower detail.
We seem to be starting a theme of floral emblems and BirdLife.

Ps. The digital camera makes hard work of those red blooms for my shots. Can’t help thinking there must be a way to get better colour for bright blooms.

Thanks Ray and Gavin. I figure it doesn't matter what camera is used; being able to grab the opportunity is what counts. These are taken with our Canon 600D and 50-250 kit lens.
I think the 3rd shot is an older bird - it was taken later in the day with better light.

(the fancy lens hasn't arrived yet Gavin - expect it tomorrow).
