Finally managed to get under a dark sky without clouds or rain! That said, there was not that much time without clouds! Hence the data is a bit sparse so please forgive the ropey images.
I was running two scopes - my usual RC8 (on a Mach1 with a ZWO 1600MM-C) plus an ED80 (on a NEQ6 with a QHY8) borrowed from a friend. A bit hectic trying to juggle both :-)
Wow, productive trip Paul, how many nights were you running all that gear to grab that lot? All look pretty good for quickies, a real astroimaging expedition that, nice work. Where do you go to image? Really like M33, feels similar to NGC 300 in many ways, would love to hit it with the FSQ-16803 but it only gets to a max of 24deg above the northern horizon from here... but I guess that would be about the same for you there?
Not ropey at all a fantastic collection of excellent images. NGC1097 stands out to me. Very sharp and detailed.
Greg.
Thanks Greg. NGC1097 certainly had by far the most imaging time. I had some data from a previous trip I added to it - so about 18 hours in total.

Thanks Mike. Was there (southern Flinders ranges - a farm near Orroroo) for 5 nights - but only 2.5 nights clear. I had some NGC 1097 data from a trip there last month already though (about 6 hours worth), and a bit of Grus data. So had a head start :-)
Yeah, M33 was kind of low. I lost two subs because I was imaging basically over my shoulder and had my head torch on while beavering away on the laptop .... until I realised it was shining straight down the scope! Doh :-)
Actually I did ponder taking my dob as well, but with the two imaging rigs in, I don't think it all would've fitted in the car..... unless I left the beer behind!!!

Ok, shame, under that sort of sky it is always worth a look....but makes perfect sense,
