Helix Nebula

Hi all,

This is my first ever image posted here. I took up this hobby only last year and know I still have an awful lot to learn but I have a great mentor who is very helpful and patient - Thanks Ben!

This was taken on the 10th October in the Southern Highlands NSW.

60 x 3 minutes lights
12 x darks
20 x bias
Processed in Pixinsight

Canon 40D (modified)
HEQ5Pro
Sharpstar 65Q ED
ZWO ASIAIRPro

Thanks for looking.

Cheers,
Cheryl.

A lot of detail there. That is a difficult target. The next few nights on the coast should be good.

Nice work Cheryl, you've come a long way in a short time, just need a bigger telescope now to suck in more light more quickly.

Well done, Cheryl! The colour that you've been able to bring there is really, really nice. And a tough one to process, to boot! Congrats, and looking forward to seeing what's next
