The Members Map

Hi everyone, if you're interested in seeing where you fellow Iceinspacers live check out the Members Map here . You'll get a bit of a chuckle out of how many members we have living in the Himalaya and in China and in the middle of some of the worlds oceans.

Please check your Latitude and Longitude in your members area under your profile. You're latitude should read -26.7 or 27.7S . Don't enter -26 38" or similar. Same goes for Longitude 153 or 153E .

If you don't know your latitude and longitude then at the end of the Lat and Long boxes is a link to Heavens above to help you work it out.

Good luck and lets get it up to date. If we get it so that we are all sitting on top of each other maybe we'll end up with a magnifiable map.....Hey Terry

I found this great site for victorians:

http://services.land.vic.gov.au/maps/interactive.jsp

you can get the exact co-ords down to your house block!

The new members map is still ongoing, Terry just needs a poke every now and then. It'll be great when it's done.

There's talk of interfacing it to google earth, but there's other issues with that. Hopefully we'll have something by the time we get to 2000 members.

I have been removed! Interesting. Can I please be put back?

And as pointed out by myself and other members in conversation, there is no link to get to the map until someone posts a link in a post as above.

Is it possible to have a link placed in an obvious place so the map can be accessed whenever someone wants to access it, instead of waiting till someone places it in a post like Paul did above.

Thank you

Check your profile Ken.
No co-ords, no place on the map.
According to your profile, additional information N/A.

I used to be on the map. Which means I was removed from the map. Simple logic

The map is generated automatically from the profile info (latitude & longitude) that the members enter. I know because I just put myself in the ocean by editing my profile.

But I better come back to land now before I drown...

You removed yourself from the map Ken!
