Best way to mount ST80?
Hi all,
(its me again!
)
I am about to buy an ST80 as a guider, but my clamshell only has a single mounting point (screw). Is this sturdy enough to mount an ST80 to and use for guiding? suppose i could find a large washer to prevent it from moving?

Mount your ST80 in the dual guide rings, mount those to a dovetail and screw the dovetail to the clamshell.
Better still, buy this:

Farn less flex issues etc. Then all you need is a guide cam.
The ST80 is NOT the best way to go.

Isn't more FL better? And how would I mount that to the clamshell? Also I have a guidecam already.

I reckon the best way to mount it would be to use an OAG instead.

Second that.
But seriously, the ST-80...well, you'll see. Invest in extra drawtube spacers cause you'll need a few (and they don't come with it)

There are other smaller ones on the ADM website.
