Rebadge, Debadge...

I needed another red dot, so i ordered 2 of these from ebay last night, apart from the lack of cover and coatings on view window, laser cover cap look and it has a green dot as well , it is alloy body and appears identical in every way, to the $170 WO unit I bought direct from WO, maybe the lasers are lower grade dunno but for $23 each delivered from Darwin free ill take a punt....

Looks good value. Just wondering how you mount it without a finder base?

Its a picatinny/weaver clamp on base of red dot for gun sights etc, to synta/vixen type dovetail quite common on most refractors. Ive sent an email to MyAstroShop who sell one on their Prostar RedDot, (out of stock) Bintel also do a red dot with same typebase similar to this from Agena...
Ill prob fabricate one or get from Agena if I cant source locally...

Math..

Doing the maths unless you could source, had a suitable mount or could fabricate yourself, prob only work out around half price. MyAstroshop do a Prostar multi reticle with base kit for around $80 + $12 postage when in stock. Ive got two scopes to fit red dots to for future outreach and I like tinkering and saving $$$ so works for me..

Update..

So an update with pic for those interested, the 2 RDFs arrived today from ebay and I suspect China via Cairns not Darwin as advertised due to The Dreaded Chullora stamp on packaging. They are identical in build quality and function to my WO RDF with exception of a 5 power green laser as well as red. It was well foam boxed inc silica bag with clear instructions, lens cover, battery and cleaning cloth, they both work fine on test, not bad for $22 ea delivered...
