Would anyone be able to tell me please what spacers I would need for a DSLR Canon 600D on a Celestron 8" SCT? Or how I can work it out? I hope that isn't too silly a question.
The current eyepiece holder you have on the C8 should have an external T thread...
As an absolute minimum you just need a T2 adaptor for the camera.
The camera body is then mounted on the rear of the scope; the telescope acting as a large tele lens.
Later comes the problem of guiding during the exposure etc.
The basic set up should allow you to image the moon and planets and some of the brighter objects.
Hope this helps
Thanks guys, I've got the t-thread adaptor and can get my camera on the scope, I was told that I might need spacers to achieve focus though and was wondering about that. I think it might be ok without them though. Thanks kindly for the replies!
