Dumbbell neb

Hi all. Is the dumbbell nebula visible in the night sky yet. I read a post that claimed that it is incredible through a binoviewer and I am very keen to see it since I read that.

M27 will be at its highest point at around midnight.

There's a couple of free starchart programs that can help you show what is visible from where and when. I use Cartes du Ciel, but Stellarium is also popular.

Dumbbell M27

Very visible and easy even through the Brisbane lights to my North East. Don't forget The Ring Nebula M57 while you are in that area, dead easy, look for 2 fairly bright stars above Vega, aim the finder half way between them and it should be in the field of a low power eyepiece.
