Hi guys, i have been working on this RC8 for some time, installed a Rainbow focuser on the secondary and also an adaptor to lock the camera in place, i had no idea how to collimate an RC8 (still learning) but it is getting there, last night i had the chance to complete a small RGB data set, collimation still needs attention but i managed to process a cropped down version of the data with a color pallete that i really like...... this is RGB data 15x60s subs each filter, i hope i can now get 10 x more so i can see this one finished....
Impressive result. That focuser costs more than the RC08 is worth imho, but if it fixes the problems typical of those budget GSO RCs then I guess it is money well spent. Congrats.
PS, is that a standard GSO collimation ring on the back or something else?
Love the colour you've gotten, I can see a big difference from my dslr to your set up. I have a RC8 as well and found collimation a bit tricky but have worked it out.
