Glenbawn Dam - dark site?

I am going to be at Glenbawn dam for a family camping trip the week after easter. It looks like it could be pretty dark there (east of Scone in the upper Hunter Valley). Thnkng about taking a scope along. Anyone been there before who can comment on suitability as a dark site?

Anywhere I go by car I can always find space to hide a scope. You take it because you never know when an opportunity will come up..
