Losmandy D & V style dovetail clamps

Anyone making these in Australia I have made them using a 3d printer and wondering what demand would be here if I can get them made up in aluminum

No the STL design is my own I, I 3d Print in ABS or PLA but can get them CNC'd locally in aluminum - (can't afford a metal printer just yet)

You'd be hard pressed to better the Chinese, even the locally available ones:

Well, you can actually get them even cheaper via AliExpress than the local guys, but I thought I would do my civic duty once or twice.


I paid $28 for the Vixen one and $47 for the Losmandy one through AE

Funny you should post this now, I've been experimenting with casting 3d printed dovetails out of scrap aluminium, got me thinking if I can do a clamp as well

Thanks Trevor,

I've printed one from Thingiverse. It was a customisable SCAD. Only issue is the diameter of the bolt holes are larger than the bolts, so the clamping portion doesn't remain square to the main part of the bracket.
