Tonka Truck

On the way back from Astrofest passing through Mururundi on Sunday morning I noticed a wideload truck stopped at a petrol station carrying the chassis and cab of one of those big yellow mining trucks.

Later on just before Wingen on the road the other half came about. Check the video below.

Lucky you pulled over. The Hyundai could have become a convertible.

It was a little wider than the road so as it got closer I tried to move further to the left but I couldn't because of the ditch. The truck went a bit over to the left as he passed me but the skip still went over my head. I have no idea if they went through the next town because the streets are narrower than the skip for sure.

Yea Marc I have actually been in on of those it is like climbing a four story building to get into the drivers seat, thanks for sharing.

They are massive, I saw a semi once carry some tyers for these monsters it had a full load at six tyers at $42,000, each, they are 13 foot tall

Change the one tyre or buy a great telescope. Tough choice.

Makes sense now. The carrier must have a direct line to the tanker.

My only concern Marc is your lack of respect for speed limits shown at the 15sec point of the video

106Kmh and you have the proof.

I'd be ticked off buying one and having to assemble it myself. Just drive from factory, nothing literally to stop you

Hell of an awesome site those toys. Transport driver would be trained to not flinch if anything hops onto the road I'd guess.

This place has some fun "toys" you can actually drive - not as big as the stuff they have on the big mines, but lots of fun anyway:
