Help on nosepiece for Tak 2'' Adapter

Wanting some help on if there is a nosepiece to put a Tak 2'' adapter straight into a focuser instead of screwing it directly onto an fs60cb drawtube so i can use the EXQ 1.6x ,Help would be much appreciated

I am not understanding the question at all.

Is this going onto the recently swapped FT focuser, or the original Tak one?

The Extender Q uses threads, so you would need to have an adaptor made that goes from the threaded front of the extender to whatever the FT drawtube uses. And I have concerns that you will run out of drawtube travel anyway since it is no longer the Tak focuser.

The extender then goes out 2" to the 2" adaptor where you can use 2" diagonals (it is wise to use only a 1.25" diagonal with the FS-60 due to it's very limited backfocus).

So, you'll need to clarify the situation as it is now, and probably talk to Starlight or Precise Parts about an adaptor for the extender. I don't even recall the thread size on the extender (56x0.75 I THINK - could be wrong)

Andrew, the part you need is Takahashi KP00113, it has a 2" nosepiece with a female M43 thread on the eyepiece side, the EXQ should screw straight into it.

The thread on the front of the EXQ should measure 43mm (M43 x 0.75mm)

looks like this: Though hopefully with less dust on it....

these are supplied with any Tak with the bigger focusers

Hi Lewis
I really don’t have a clue to be honest but Matt has shown me the bit I need,Where you would normally screw the EQ into the adapter that would normally screw onto the FS60’s drawtube ,I probably was vague in my explanation ,Started to use the FTF on it so can’t use the adapter that fits on the drawtube and really like to use the scope full blown with the EQ 1.6 and CQ 1.7 so need that adapter with a 2” nosepiece to go into the FTF

Andrew just check that the thread on the scope side of the EXQ is 43mm to confirm.
Someone may have a spare so a wanted ad might work. I can loan you one to test if need be. I have a couple for the two TSAs..
