Astrofest 2019 - NGC6553/6655

My last two milkyway fields from astrofest.

Centered on cluster NGC6553. Not far from the lagoon (top left of the field). Was meant to be another panel for the mosaic but ran out of clear skies Bit of blue glow on the top left, somebody's blue headlight

HD here [1920x1273 - 4MB]

and this one is somewhere in scutum shot the first night testing guiding and focus. I had to platesolve it here to know exactly where it was and the nearest catalogued object is NGC6655. There is a very small Ha region or maybe planetary in the center of the fov (cropped attached) but I have no idea what it's called. I couldn't find it in any database. Maybe one of you learned people knows what it is.

Thanks Dennis. I knew you'd find it
That's a real weird name. I'll google it and see if there's a hubble or high res version somewhere see what it looks like up close.

Thanks Paul. Yeah widefields are fun when the milkyway is up. Always having a good time with the FSQ. Super easy to use and plenty to do.

Hey Marc

Who needs Hubble when you have a CN-212.

Cheers

Two very challenging fields to do well. The dust lanes are what makes it for us, but wow, there are a lot of stars in the Milky Way. Your stars are perfect, and the processing careful and subtle.
