NGC 4945 sketch 12/4/10

Hi everyone,

Yesterday was very clear but also very windy so the seeing was terrible despite this i wanted to observe this galaxy as i heard that its bright and easy to find and so it was but fainter than i imagined it to be.

NGC 4945- Very easy to find between the to Xi stars but pretty faint.I could hardly notice a core, it just looked like a streak of light . It was brighter in the middle and then got fainter to the out reaches of the arms.It was in a very nice star field ,unfortunately i haven't finished the sketch but will still show you what i am up to and try to finish it off tonight, weather permitting.Telescope used was a 130mm reflector and a 25mm plossoll ep.magnification was 36X.

Thanks for reading and viewing
Regards orestis

Nice sketch Orestis. You won't see a stellar core on this galaxy. Looking forward to the finished work.
