Took some pics yesterday of a king parrot with my new Canon 5Ds and 85mm/2.8L lens. The parrot was doing what it does best, chew leaves off my peppermint gums depositing them all over the driveway and decks. I took the images through the window in my study and they came out not too badly. Focusing presented a problem at times owing to the window pane and considering the file size has been greatly reduced for IIS, I'm happy with the results.
Thanks Bob. I'm still coming to terms with the 50 megapixels the 5Ds is capable of. Most of the shots taken at this level really should be done using a tripod.
What a nice looking bird! And nicely photographed.
50mp leaves a lot out when you resize! I'm throwing away a lot of pixels at 20mp when I resize to suit social media. I'm surprised at how nice these stay for a resized 50MP 35mm sensor. But it's going to become more of a problem as the MPx goes up and the sensor size stays down, I suppose.
Still, nicely caught and thanks for sharing.
