I have been playing around with Nikon lenses on an ASI1600mm and have found that getting spacing right and removing tilt is a bit of a challenge. The 224 sensor is a lot smaller so it shouldn't be as difficult.
Attached image is 20 mins of short Ha subs through a 21mm Zeiss lens.
I have some longer Ha integrations done with a Samyang 135mm f/2 that I'll be playing with tonight (collected the data last night.)
Thanks Rick - interesting. (and very nice pic BTW)
I notice that zwo also sell a 'tilt adjuster'.
(presumably to correct a problem that shouldn't actually
occur in the first place, but hey....its a good way to up the profits ;-) )
i was going to try this using a 70-200mm f4 piggybacked on my scope,
as doing it with the dslr is also fiddly, and the added weight strains the motors
something awful.
If it's not simply a matter of bolting on the camera
and off we go...maybe i'll give it a miss...
Thanks Rick - interesting. (and very nice pic BTW)
Thanks. There's a colour pic in the thread with link below that I took with an ASI294mc and lens. I needed to use a Lum filter for UV/IR blocking before I could get decent results and I think you'll need to do the same.
