reCanon 60Da camera query

I just found a overseas online store DigBuy offering a Canon 60Da astro camera for $700 AUD. I suspect they are a scam as some things did not come up right when I went to place an order. Anyone tried them? Thanks.

It's a discontinued camera. You'll only find it on the secondhand market.

This smells shifty to me.

John, that sounds dodgy. I wouldn't do it.

John,
A modded 450D (or later model) would be a better investment...

Is it officially discontinued though? It's still on the Canon.com.au website with "where to buy" dealer locators but they've removed it from their own online store. I've been on the phone to them and enquiring about it only seems to confuse them. If it is discontinued would be nice to know officially and whether they intend to release an updated A-series DSLR anytime soon.

Canon USA lists it as out of stock but they do have refurbs in stock for $300 cheaper.

Hey thanks Steve!

UPDATED: Can't buy without a US credit card unfortunately. Sales support would not comment on whether this is the end of the road for the A series.
