Ordered a Baader LRGB set from MyAstroshop today (A$165). If you are wanting the Astronomik then Adirondak (astrovid.com) is the place to get them while the A$ is so strong but you'll need A$325 spare.

My adaptor plate arrived from scopestuff today. Thought it would be a good time to show you how its shaping up so here are some pics. This is the ScopeTeknix filter wheel and my home made 1 1/4" to 2" adaptor to get the extra inward focuser travel. The Baader LRGB filter left Sydney today so I'm hoping for some clear skys next weekend.

The Baader filters arrived today and so did the clear sky!! Set it all up tonight and guess what - not enough inward travel on the focuser!! Back to square one.

I'm planning on some longer primary colimation bolts to move the primary mirror closer to the secondary. The thought of hacking 10 mm off the end of the optical tube sounds too permanent.

The other option is a low profile focuser although I've heard there's a bit too much play in these. Does anyone have one and what is your experience with it?

Peter

No afraid not - I got my Astonomik filters today - they work fine in the Atik. Now I just need to see if I also have a focus problem
