I love those widefields from huge telescopes. They're great references.

Gotta say its underwhelming. Seen better on this site. The centre area is blown out with no detail. The Ha ridge areas are not very sharp.

How much did they pay for all that gear?

They should have gotten an AP scope. hehehe.

That's a 2.2m telescope at an altitude of 2400mm with dark skies and pretty good seeing. There's no enhancement, sharpening or any kind of processing in that pic I'd say so it's as close to what it looks like as it's ever going to get "au naturel". That's why I like those pics. Mostly untouched. The hourglass is not that sharp yet detailed but maybe it's not meant to be sharp. The shock fronts and ridges at the top are fluffy and very detailed and sharper than the ones at the bottom. It makes you realise what's supposed to be soft and what's supposed to be sharp in reality.

Love the dustlanes in the darker areas, other than that even mine looks better lol
