USB to Com: How to change?

I have 5 x EQ. mounts that all connect to a PC via a USB cable.

The software is SkyX serious edition which does not recognise these USB inputs only Com connections, so I need to assign a USB to read as a Com port so Sky X can connect.

How does one change a USB to read as a Com port?

Thanks,

Jim

You'll need a USB to serial converter like this https://www.lindy.com.au/usb-to-rs-2...-com-retention

But before buying one talk to Gary (Kuringai) here on IIS to confirm which one to use for your particular application and OS.

I just need to change the Com1 port to a USB so it reads as another Com# so how does one change/assign a USB to read as a Com connection?

All of my SW and Titan 50 mounts are USB outputs, not Serial. If they were, I nave heaps of RS232/USB converters.

It should come with mount, I am guessing.
Also it could be FTDI driver or CH340 driver.
