Exposure control for periodic sampling

Hi all,

Is there a way to control an off-the-shelf astro cam (mine is the ASI174) to expose a single frame by combining periodic samples of a given time, and frequency? For example, is there a way to get it to expose for say 20ms, every 100ms, and keep doing that for say 1 minute, then combine the captured data into a single exposure? The correct timing would be critical. That would seem quite useful for imaging pulsars by matching their period. You could sample all parts of their light curve, then recombine the acquired frames in a loop to show the full cycle...

Cheers

Mirko,

Found this in the 20 secs before heading off to work. Can't vouch for how good it is but, seems like somewhere to start looking
