Star adventurer

Hey guys and gals.
I’m about to put in a panic order for a star adventurer.
Does anyone have any idea on the difference between the black, white or red versions apart from the colour?
Do that all have the same internal function?
There seems to be a $100 difference between them.
Thanks.

For panic buying - you need at least two of each colour - just in case!

PS- sorry not more useful. I did a quick google, but, still came up with nothing useful.

Haha. Yeah a google search reveals stuff all. Just can’t see why there a premium in the white. Has to be a reason. I’ll just call a shop and see if they can shed any light.

Just called Astro Pete. For the record, they are identical except for colour.

I think the dearer bundles include a tripod.

Yes they have different bundles, you will find generally that the white unit is dearer than the black unit when compared like for like.
The black head by itself is cheaper than the white head by itself.
The black complete kit is cheaper than the white complete kit.

This is because even though they are exactly the same internally, the white is the newer colours to match skywatchers new branding or something Astro Pete says.

Ended up ordering the black ultimate kit.
Good price at $595.
The white ultimate kit is $775.
Looking forward to its arrival.

Good purchase. In case you're still wondering, I emailed AstroAnarchy a while ago about this, and they said it was because they were imported over at different times, when the Australian dollar was stronger. Could also be that they wanted to get rid of the older models (the white and green paint is the newer livery of all Skywatcher products).
