Penumbral Lunar Eclipse

Taken last night, at 945 UT (about 3 minutes after maximum eclipse - I actually had to jump in the car and drive out from under the bloody cloud that decided to interfere just in time for the maximum), and about 1300 UT, an hour after the event. Whether the apparent libration is diurnal or just my crappy Gimp skills I can't tell.

Penumbral eclipses aren't the most exciting events but there is always something of interest to spot. Where did you have to drive to , to get away from the clouds, half way to Queenstown most likely.

Thanks guys, no it wasn't very difficult or time-consuming. Halfway to the Octagon was plenty far...the chase was over in less than 10min. It clouded over at home minutes before I was ready to shoot, and the cloud band was pretty narrow.
