Hi Pete,

That's looking much better!

Stars look neutral and no wacky oversaturated colours or registration issues, but it's still too contrasty imo.

Space isn't generally rendered pure black, so if you open up the blacks there's a lot more fine detail to be revealed from your data.

I took the liberty of briefly tweaking the image so you can se what I mean.
A more subtle approach will pay benefits at this stage of your journey.

I strongly recommend you get onto APP - (or Pixinsight if you're mathematically inclined.) These apps help enormously.

Cheers

Andy

Lovely. You've avoided the trap of showing every single sacred photon, in which evil case the dark dust lanes and internebular regions end up looking exactly the same as the bright bits. Instead, you've preserved and shown the overall structure, what the thing actually looks like. Excellent.

Hi Andy,
I'll give APP a try. I like your rendition. However please see attached image before black level was applied - I am a sucker for black backgrounds - I like the 3D feel it gives to images.
Cheers Pete

Thanks - I did adjust the black level to bring out eta carina from the background.
Cheers Kanga
