M16 sho

Still having a bit of a play with SHO . Taken with a 120 esprit and ZWO 7nm filters . I was quite happy with the outcome .

10 x 180 sec SII
10 x180 sec OIII

Processed with DSS , Gimp with a bit of a touch up in lightroom.

I find this image perhaps the most pleasing of all the images that I have seen of this object.
Well done.

Outstanding colour and contrast detail. What causes the red halo on stars. ?
I have this in my own images and wonder if the red channel has a greater intensity.

Thanks all especially Alex . I was very happy with image especially as it was 3rd go a a,SHO image . I,am currently trying to process my first LRGB image with Data I captured with the ZWO,1600,a few weeks ago. There's a fair bit more to the LRGB processing than i thought, lot more work load than trying to do a SHO image but i am enjoying the challenge .
