SBIG STL-11000M has arrived.

I'm once again, a proud father of a new baby boy.

Yes, people, after 5-6 weeks of waiting, I picked up a dirty big parcel this afternoon from the post office.

I can't believe how big and heavy the camera is.

I am beaming, and, I mean, beaming, with joy.

Thank you, Peter Ward for your service, and, thanks to everyone for your input by way of responses in the other thread which I started, private messages and emails.

Excuse the crap image -- I just quickly snapped it with the iPhone in under 30 seconds of opening the Pelican case.

<insert national weather map from BoM here>

Thanks, guys.

Only problem is that I'm waiting for filters and a Feathertouch focuser. So, no imaging until they arrive. I doubt the ED127's upgraded stock focuser can handle the weight of this camera.

And, Troy -- you very funny guy; that's why I kill you last.

There is a chance that you will have to adjust the ccd for blooming. If possible give the STL a go with a borrowed filter with your current stock focuser. The reason i say this is because most likely you want to build up your calibration library while you wait for your focuser and filter but I was told those calibration files are only good till you adjust the internal pot for blooming. http://www.sbig.com/sbwhtmls/abg.htm

Good luck .
