Geez, no mercy given around here is there ?

Bit more painful today, the nerves have recovered from the shock and are asking 'what the .. ?? ' so I'll just keep taking the pills.

No DIY for a few days, I'll go play with the scopes and some sunshine, seems to be plenty of that about.

Be gentle to the scopes... Don't treat them like you treated the poor saw.

On a more serious note: Get well soon.

The mashed up bit at the top is bits of bone ....... , (Eeeww!! )

Sorry Alex, they didn't ask for X-Rays of the saw blade but it is undergoing counselling ...

For those who really care ( ) it's on the mend, minimal pain or discomfort, just a bloody nuisance is all. To be reassessed next Friday at the clinic, and ACC is covering all costs and rehab etc etc.

Meanwhile I've done the major hard part of the DIY project that caused this little fiasco in the first pace. I used the Circular saw this time

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

I was able to call on a BIG favour from some dodgy friends of mine in NZ. No need to know HOW they got it, all that's important to know is that they got me evidence of how poorly Brent's saw came out of this...

X-rays, schmeckrays!

Lucky ? ... Currently only half a finger nail down one side, you can just see it in the Xray, no fingerprint for a year or two at least and only partial cover on the top of the nail bed. Going to have to watch that for a long time.

No nose is good nose ... to badly paraphrase an old saying

Hi Xela ( just to differentiate you from that other dodgy 'Alex' )
Thanks for your words of concern. Nah, we're all good. Other than the fact it has just made me spill my coffee down my shirt I feel excellent. Must be the holiday buzz. I can't sit around for long regardless, I've got a couple of other projects rolling already and my second TEC has turned up so another Peltier build is about to start. BYEos and PHD2 are talking to each other and I've accumulated a couple of hours of lovely photons to process when I decide to wake up to a nice sunny morning.

Cheers
Brent

I used to live way out west (Cunnamulla). A client dropped a mob of live sheep over our front fence on day in lieu of paying a bill. That was OK by me. Another mate taught me the art of slaughtering and butchering sheep. That too was OK. Trouble was I too forgot to keep my fingers out of the way once and took the top off a thumb. Doc sent my wife back home to find the missing bit among the bits of bone and what-have-you from my attempt to cut out the neck chops. She found it and brought it back to the surgery where the doc sewed it back on. It's still there 30 years later. It twitches a bit when I'm near an attractive ewe though.
