Join our diverse family of astronomers at Sirius Optics. Our rapidly-growing company specialises in the sale of telescopes, binoculars, sports optics, and astronomy equipment. The ideal candidate loves talking to customers about astronomy and telescopes, birding, binoculars, and microscopes, and have excellent people skills.
Casual, part-time, and full-time positions available. Fresh grads welcome (probationary period may apply).
Responsibilities
-Communicate with customers via phone, email, and chat.
-Conduct sales in-store and over the phone.
-Data entry in various platforms.
-Processing and dispatching orders.
-Label and organise stock, setting up store displays.
Qualifications
-At least 1 years' of relevant work experience in retail/customer service/sales/public outreach, or student/graduate of science (astronomy/astrophysics/biology or other field relevant to our products), business, operations management, hospitality, or mass communications.
-Excellent phone etiquette and excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
-Basic knowledge in astronomy, birding, telescopes, binoculars, microscopes, and/or be willing to learn. [Training will be provided]
-Excellent proficiency with computers and be able to use software platforms related to word processing, spreadsheets, point-of-sales, shipping & dispatch. Training will be provided for various software platforms.
