hmm USB 2 compatible just means it'll run on a USB 2 port, it doesn't mean it will use USB 2 bandwidth.

If it doesn't use the full bandwidth of a USB 2 interface, then there's no point to it.

The sly dogs!! Sorry to get our hopes up guys

However, I have found a true USB2 webcam by Creative - "WebCam Live! Ultra". It has a CCD and not a cmos as it's siblings do, but I haven't managed to find out specifically what chip. Goes for ~$160 from online retailers.... maybe worth checking out??

Edit:

There's also the Logitech Fusion, but doesn't seem to have reached our shores yet.

Wonder why Philips are mucking around with "USB2 compatible", while it's competitors are creating true USB 2 webcams?
