Imaging a Lunar Eclipse

Hi All,
I've been preparing for tomorrows Lunar Eclipse, I've got all the main gear set up and under wraps in plastic in plastic bags to protect it during the intervening hours but I am having a problem with the lens of my scopes forming dew/frost - I use a wheely bin as an indicator and the dew is starting to freeze on its lid.
I have a hair dryer but was wondering if anyone could explain how to correctly use it to get rid of dew without degrading imaging quality or damaging any of my gear.
I have progressed somewhat, equipment wise, since my last post here, I now have a Skywatcher HEQ5 Pro Mount and plan to use a Long Perng 80mm F6 Achromat with either a 1000D or a 50D for imaging at 480mm focal length, with a Skylight B Filter (I also have a Skylight A Filter - I'm not sure which is best to use) to protect the DSLR's sensor.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated
Kind Regards,
Darren
