Losmandy G-11 Gemini Servo Motor

Hi team,

I'm after a G-11 servo motor.

If you have a spare one, whether it be the original, a Maxon, or the new high torque model, please get in touch.

Hi H

I'm working on rewinding and replacing condenser caps in a std dead Gemini motor which Martin kindly gave me (I have another to do as well). I have re-wound one and just now have it running but I need to balance the rotor and do lots more testing before it could be fit for service.

Sorry, I could possibly help but it's just too early atm.

No problem, mate!

I think I might be OK. A work colleague started looking at it today. The motor has been pulled with the plug in it, so, the PCB has kind of bent.

We did a quick five minute solder and the drive started working.

Once the case was put back on, it stopped. We think the pins need to be resoldered again. Will look again tomorrow.

Damn...just found pinion end of shaft has slight bend so it's kaput.

I can replace the shaft with the other, they press out, but will order some replacement shafts. Still hunting for pinion gears in anycase.
So my fiddling could take awhile.
