Meade 12" LX200GPS - reduced

Hi All,

I purchased this along with observatory and thought I might use it one day, but now two many scopes and need to let go of some.

The previous owner had this pier mounted in his Observatory, but its currently on a Meade Giant Field Tripod.

As this is quiet a large item I am not keen to ship it so looking for local pickup.

LX200GPS 12" with Giant Field Tripod, crayford focuser, counterwights, GSO 2" diagonal . One EP's. I am asking $2800 pickup.

Optics are in very good condition, but do note the screws are rusty but these have no impact on the scope usage. And from what i know of my previous LX90 experience the screws can be replaced if required.

Kind Regards
Fahim

You'd need one solid mount for that OTA.
For what it's worth, The corrosion on the existing mount shouldn't be any cause for concern. They are built like a tank IME.

Akbar sorry but would not like to split this at this stage. Happy to take offers as it is. Bintel do have the replacement stainlesw steel screws for the Fork mount. And i have the ota screws should be easy enough to find from a nut and bolt place. I have also seen scopestuff in the US have a full screw replacment kits.

(RE. OTA) "..do note the screws are rusty.."
And is that a bit of water damage visible on the optical surface coating of the inside of the corrector plate?

Looks more like flash artifacts from the camera flash

Optics are clean from what I can see. I think as per above the flash is the issue you are seeing.
Reducing the price to 2800 as I would like to move this on to someone who will use it, don't like it sitting here unused.

If I am not mistaken, that looks like an oblique and benign reflection from the corrector plate, of a roof gable and some trees...perhaps from across the road?
