Captured over April-May, 12.5 hours of 10min subs using ASI071 colour camera with the STC Duo filter, on an 80mm refractor. Processed in PI with some help from starnet++.

I've been working on this for ages. It's been a long road figuring out how to narrowband process it. This is about the umpteenth approach. But I think I'm starting to get somewhere, so thought I'd put it up. It's probably a bit over blown now, but I always liked glam rock.

I think the thumbnail image looks better than the Astrobin image. The Astrobin image is quite grey and dull where as the thumbnail has more colour to the left side of the image and appears to me to be more visually pleasing.

Nice, none the less!

Chris,

WRT to Bart's comments I agree. Did you upload the image to Astrobin as sRGB? I've found that if you upload in Adobe colourspace things will look quite different. It's easy to change profiles in Photoshop...maybe also in Pininsight but I just don't know for sure.

Very nice photo!

Thanks. I think I reprocessed the one on astrobin. Keep changing my mind about which one looks the best. Narrowband seems difficult and somehow more slippery or elusive ...

For IIS I resample/bin the image save as a heavily reduced jpeg in PI, and for astrobin I save as a better quality jpeg
