Takahashi cases

Hi Guys,
I'm looking to buy a case for my takahashi toa-130ns and have been looking at the scope guard option, but they're a bit pricy plus they're coming from the US. Does anyone know of a local option for someone to custom make a telescope case? Or even a shop that sells them? Any help would be appreciated!

Hi Dave,
I've bought a eye piece case and did the internal cut outs myself from cases.com.au , pretty good priced and will do custom linings as /if req.
Cheers

Have a look at this case I sold. Manufacturer details in one of the pics. Sold it cos it was too heavy to carry down the stairs!

I've heard good things about cases.com.au although I haven't used them myself. Did get a Pelican case though and it's good

+1 for cases.com.au although I did my own foam inlays lining. Note that they come with the lid foam and rubber lining throughout about 2cm thick anyway. It was a custom trolley case, oversized so I can put accessories in. Very heavy when full (of a TOA-150 plus bits) so wheels are essential though a 130 won't be as heavy. They were doing a promo back in Jan too so I got 12% off.

Takahashi case

Hi Dave,
I can strongly recommend C & C cases. Talk to Chris Hine: chris@caseman.com.au . The case for my APM 152 mm (FL 1200mm) APO cost almost $900 but is bullet-proof and beautifully crafted. I can recommend Chris of C & C cases very highly. This case has protected my scope from a near-disaster recently and is as strong as any case can be made.

Cheers,
Richard

The Pelican 1740 Long Case is the best solution for the Toa130. I bought two of them from USA, even with freight they were a hundred cheaper..

Just noticed that there's currently a 15% discount going on trolley cases from cases.com.au. One for your sized scope would cost around $730. The nice thing about these cases is that you can create a case with dimensions that suit you.

You can buy musical instrument cases that will do the job.

For my A-P, I intend having one custom made in birch ply using the original fittings from the sadly boogered A-P chest (did NOT import it with the scope - Customs and Quarantine would have incinerated it)
