New Camera

After much research and price comparisons, I finally took the plunge and have ordered my new camera this morning.
It's the Canon Powershot S3 IS. Included was a 1GB SD card, a Canon soft case, a 21 in 1 card reader and delivery. Total price was $578.38.
The cheapest instore price I could find was $640 for the camera only, so I'm rather chuffed at getting this deal.
I bought from Digital Cameras Online.
It should be here by the end of the week.

It's our 10th Wedding Anniversary today.
So I thought I would treat myself to something nice.

jjjnettie i used that same camera for afocally imaging mercury's recent transit. We used the 10" dob and Stratus EP's through baader solar film.
It did a fine job and considering i didnt use a proper camera mount it did a stirling job. I found it metered light and autofocused/exposed quite well at that extreme light exposure level. I think they are a very nice little camera.
A Toucam is coming soon, so looking forward to making a real beginning with that shortly.
Have fun with the Canon.

I had my hands on one yesterday at the Good Guys ( $699 camera only) and didn't want to give it back.
Can't wait.
