Yet another Jupiter Saturn Conjunction

Hi all,

weather has been complete rubbish - deja vu last few nights with low cloud clearing and high cloud coming across and ruining the show.

Luckily last night (23rd) it actually cleared a bit at the right time. This was still taken through some light, hazy, high-cloud.
This first image was taken with the MN190 and ZWO ASI120-MC planetary cam. At the Mak-Newt's native focal length of 1000 mm both planets still fit within the ZWO's chip along with the Jovian moons (but I didn't seem to fit in Titan).

The second wide-field image was taken last week on the Sunshine Coast (also during a brief break in the weather) when they were still a fair way apart.

You are lucky to catch the moment cause the last time a similar convergence of giant planets occurred on March 4, 1226, and the next time this natural phenomenon will happen on March 15, 2080.

Thanks CG and Ray.

One of my capture videos also captured an airliner passing 'between' Jupiter and Saturn (at 1000mm).

Single frame snap of the plane passing added.

Completely missed that thread. That's an amazing conjunction shot. Glad you've got clear skies you so and so. ... and to boot you give us the finger with a plane transit in between. Now, come clean, did you buy a lotto ticket on the day?

Thanks Marc!
To be honest I thought finally getting a clear night was winning the lottery!
