Skywacher Dob alt tension

Morning Good Folk

Soo. Ive got a 10 inch skywatcher collapsible dob goto. Sat unused for about 7 or 8 years. Well thinking i would put it together again just to play around with see if it still works etc. well it does. So thats good news so far..

Anyways. The altitude motor seems a liittke loose. From zero position it struggles to raise the scope to its max alt. And then from anywhere 45 degree and up once ive stopped driving the scope will slowly drop.

Ive stuck an eq6 counterweight on the primary end. And this fixes it however im sure i remember this thing working right without a weight originally. Only mods to the scope are a lightshroud and moonlite focuser.

Any ideas on whether the motor can be retensioned

Regards
Ben
