Guiding problems (again)

Hi guys, me again with more guiding problems. This time instead of backlash, the mount is not making corrections in DEC as seen in the photo. If anyone help that'd be great

You probably have good polar alignment so the tracking is good without dec corrections. If you look at the r/h bottom under the graph you will see that you have dec turned off, there are a few settings there, auto, guide north, south and off.

No matter what I have it on (Auto, South or North) it either doesn't make a difference or makes it worse. Strangely, when I take 5 min exposures, there are no star trailing as though its guiding perfectly. THIS MAKES NO SENSE!!

1. I would run the guiding assistant and set the settings as it suggests. See if that fixes the non-guiding issue.

2. What are you using for imaging? If your polar alignment is very good DEC drift will be small. Looking at your gear you could, for example, be imaging with ED80 + QHY8. This will give you a resolution of over 3 arc-sec/pixel (calculator is here). If the drift is small you could image for quite a while before the trailing is visible.

You've got Dec corrections turned off. Change the drop down at the far right that currently says "Off" to a different setting

If you have DEC corrections turned off then as long as your PA is good you can successfully guide solely in RA.
