Andy
I checked the ASV calendar and it isn't showing anything on that weekend, the Galactic Centre party is the weekend before and the Vicsouth is the following full moon. Unfortunately the ASV has so much going on we are going to have clashes.
Anyway, hope you are able to make it for at least some of the camp!!
Cheers

Hi all
Just letting anyone looking the camp know that i am jetting of OS for a few weeks. If you have any queries or comments about the camp do not get upset if I do not respond quickly as a fair bit of the trip i will be out of easy communication. I will be back early July and will catch up with anything i miss then.
Cheers
Malcolm

Hey Andy why don't you bring boot camp to SV I'm sure there is plenty of other Astro buddies that would love to learn how to do astrophotography just a thought
Yes I know I can be a little cheeky at times but how else am I going to manage an APOD hahaha

Damn I'm going to be in Scotland while this camp is on!!!
As far as problems go I guess it's not that bad. Guess I will just have to comfort myself by taking some northern hemisphere nightscapes.
Sadly that means I've missed both camps this year though!

Hi all!
Just updating you all. I am now back in the country after our little sojourn in Europe.
Unfortunately I took a little tumble down some steps in the apartment block where we were staying in Paris and I injured my ankle. Very bad sprain and a small fracture which is taking a while to heal.
Anyway I am on the mend now so if you have any queries about the camp or want to make bookings I can deal with them now!!
In the good news I had a lovely time visiting the Greenwich observatory in London and dropped into the Widescreen Centre near Baker St and had a very pleasant chat with the guys there. Picked up a nice little astro toy and drool over an Avalon mount they were packing up to send to a customer.

Welcome home Malcolm.
I'll get onto making my booking later this week. Look after that ankle.

Made the booking and looking forward to doing some R and R....(reflecting and refracting) time. I trust your ankle is all better Malcom.
Cheers!

I am hoping to be able to make it this year but it may conflict with potentially house/animal sitting, I'll have to check as it gets closer to the date.

A little late booking Malcolm, what's left in the way of cabins? Great location for twisting ankles...

If you have to have an accident, the 16th Arrondisement in Paris is a good place to do it!!

No worries Malcolm, booking made!!
Can't wait, though at this rate our auto guides will be rather challenged, with mounts sliding around the field!
